Looks like I’m in the market for a new gun. Ruger just announced a new pistol caliber carbine called the PC9. It’s take down 9mm carbine that looks like a slightly larger version of their 10/22. Plus it has an adapter so it will take Glock mags. What’s not to like?
Shooting illustrated takes a look at the new LC9s PRO. Finally Ruger gets it right. A pocket pistol shouldn’t have a safety to fumble with when it’s go time. I held off getting one of these when they were introduced because of the external safety. Looks like I may just have to reconsider and add this to my collection.
That’s what U.S. Rep. Matt Salmon, R-Arizona would have with his introduction of the “Hearing Protection Act” that that has backing from the NRA. The days of treating suppressors as NFA items should come to an end and this is a good first step but unfortunately it doesn’t go far enough. Suppressors are nothing more than mufflers, something we require on nearly everything that makes loud noises.
As said by SayUncle, “If we regulated cars like we did guns, everyone would have to drive with hearing protection on.”
Senator Mike Green has introduced new gun legislation.
SB 442: Prohibit the open carry of weapons in certain areas such as schools, child care centers, sports arenas, taverns, churches, hospitals or dorms, but permit concealed carry of weapons in those areas. Sponsor: Sen. Mike Green, R-Mayville.
Snyder has already said he is in opposition to this bill but with his track record I’m not surprised. Hopefully we can get some traction with this and make inroads on eliminating the victim zones here in Michigan.
A mini 14 in 300 blk ? The mini doesn’t have the reputation of being very accurate and it takes proprietary mags. I guess as long as it says 300 blk it will sell. Sigh.
